What hotels need in a staffing brief

The best matches do not start with a long vacancy text, but with one clear page: what must happen, in which team, and on what terms.

The core on one page

Write the outcome of the first weeks first: roster covered, guests looked after, handover done. Then come must-haves (language, experience, availability), team and manager, site or shifts, and the terms.

What belongs in it

Five blocks are usually enough: (1) outcome in the first period, (2) three to five must-haves, (3) team and who decides, (4) location and shifts, (5) contract form and whether you want temporary staffing or a permanent placement. Wishes are fine if they are marked as wishes.

Why it goes faster

With a clear brief we can propose the right professionals sooner — and say honestly when someone is not a fit. That saves rounds and protects your reputation with candidates.
